Blogging's gotta be better than The Big Bang Theory, right?
The Bears went well enough...well enough to get a memo written about my awesomeness. I spent Saturday night, which resulted 29 hours straight spent at the hotel. I'm sure a night at home would have been much more restful because, well, my neighbors here never have sex THAT loud for THAT long.
I got to chat with the players and help them with room changes and issues and stuff, which was exciting because then I got to pick out which ones I was going to marry. Maybe if they come back next year I'll let them know which ones they are. I spent all day Sunday playing security, making sure fans didn't make it onto the team's "private" floor. I also got to play banquet server (without the hefty paycheck) and strip rooms once the team checked out. Now, after all is said and done, I am damn happy they are our last team of the year - and our only pro team. The assholes lost too. I'm pretty sure they couldn't stop thinking about me and that affected their play.
I got home at 11:15 last night from a three-day weekend in Duluth. The part I like most about Angie living at Nic's house is having a room of my own with a bed and a door. The part I like second best is the hijacking of "dan has a baby dick" wireless internet.
We were blessed with the presence that is Taylor for about six hours on Saturday and I'm not sure I've ever laughed so hard. When did she turn from a baby into a kid? She has the cutest "Hi!" and her nodding at appropriate times absolutely kills me. She even treated Angie and I to a show during dinner time that led us to believe she was in need of an exorcism. That kid is somethin' else.
Oh yeah, it was nice to see Mike and Amanda too. And Fahj! Fahj came to visit on Sunday (that'd be yesterday, Red), mostly to spend 3 hours in Barnes & Noble finding a book for Katy and Buddy. I sure hope they like what they've got coming to them.
I'm having a bit of a party on Friday. It was decided at happy hour on Wednesday with Lindsay and John and Sean and Kami that a get-together was in order, so we'll just have to see what develops. My money's on some bad decisions, but I've been wrong before (though probably never about imminent bad decisions).
